Choosing the correct size

Select the bit diameter according to the required opening and allow the clearance specified for the fitting or pipe. Measure the component before drilling rather than relying solely on its nominal size.

How to use

Mark the hole position and ensure the tile is securely supported. Start the drill at an angle so the edge of the bit creates an initial groove, then gradually bring the bit upright as the hole develops.

Use light, controlled pressure and allow the tool to cut. Avoid forcing the bit or allowing it to overheat. Periodically withdraw it from the hole to assist cooling and remove debris.

Safety information

Check that the bit, thread and speed rating are compatible with the angle grinder before use. Inspect the bit before every use and do not use it if damaged or excessively worn.
